Privacy Policy

This describes what Trova actually collects and how it's used. It's written to be accurate, not just a template — please still have it reviewed by a professional before relying on it legally.

What we collect

• Account info: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (via Supabase Auth). You can also sign in with email + password.
• Tribe posts: anything you post, like, or comment in Trova Tribe is stored and shown publicly to other Trova users, along with the display name you choose.
• Location: if you allow it, we use your device's GPS to show nearby rides, pubs, and points of interest. You can decline this and use manual search instead.
• Trip & chat inputs: destinations, dates, budgets, and anything you type to the Trova AI assistant. These are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses and are not used to train Anthropic's models on our current plan.
• Automatically: basic device and app-usage data to keep the service working and improve results.
• From partners: booking-confirmation signals needed to credit affiliate commissions (we don't receive your payment details from partner sites).

How we use it

To run the app, personalise deals and itineraries, power the AI trip planner and Tribe social feed, process affiliate referrals, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.

Partners & links

Trova links to third-party booking sites (flights, hotels, rides, activities). When you follow a link, that partner's own privacy policy applies. We may receive confirmation that a booking happened so a commission can be credited to Trova.

Third-party services we use

Google (sign-in), Supabase (account & database hosting), Anthropic (AI responses), and Travelpayouts (affiliate booking links). Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, delete your Tribe posts, and request account deletion by emailing us. You can also decline location access and still use the app with manual search.
